The DJ5x Dispatcher 100 - "Postal Jeeps"

The DJ-5A was introduced in 1967-68, beginning the lettering system (DJ5A-G, L & M) indicating changes within the series.  They were produced at the former Studebaker plant, South Bend, IN, by JEEP's General Products Division the predecessor to AMGeneral.  They were used primarily by the USPS but were also produced for police departments, utility companies, the US military and small package delivery firms.
